"I'm pregnant..."

Beast Boy's eyes widened, and his jaw dropped a little, ears fell down.
"Already?" he asked getting up and rubbing her arms lovingly, the velvet box still in hand, and still open.

"I just got back from the doctor..." Her tightened throat only let her to whisper. Beast Boy now put her into an embrace. He exchanged looks with Cyborg and Nightwing. He would also do it with Starfire, but she was now blinded by her own huge tears. She wasn't flying anymore. Next Beast Boy glanced at the kids.
"You're pregnant?" Melvin asked in shock.

Raven looked at her and nodded, not able to speak yet. Melvin looked at her brothers cheerfully.
"Did you hear that? We're gonna have another sibling!"

"What?!" Timmy yelled incredulously. Teether made huge eyes.

"Teeth, you're going to be a big brother!" his sister shouted. Teether immediately looked to his adoptive mother.

"Mommy! Melly says Imma big bwothew! That's twue?"

"I guess so..." Raven spoke, wiping her tears away.

"Whewe's the baby?"

"Still in mama's tummy, big guy" Beast Boy said, messing the boy's hair.

"Your sibling is going to need eight more months to grow" Raven said, now caressing her adoptive son's hair to put it in the previous, nice shape.

"I want a bwothew, can I have a bwothew!?"

"No, make it a girl! I'm tired of brothers!" Melvin opposed.

"Girls are boring!" Timmy yelled at her face, making her hit him.

"Mel, don't hit your brother!" Beast Boy said.

"But he's stupid!"

"Don't call him stupid" Raven demanded this time.

"I can't help it, he is stupid!"

"You're stupid!" Timmy retorted loudly.

Beast Boy rolled his eyes and exchanged looks with Raven while the two still argued.
"And she's only nine" he sighed.

"I don't want to know what it's going to be like, when she's thirteen..." Raven chimed in.

Beast Boy smiled at her, put her at the length of his arms and spoke.
"You didn't answer my question, Rae."

"You're still asking?" she said incredulously sniffing loudly.

"Don't be silly, of course I'm asking" he smiled.

"I'm pregnant with my father's child!"

"That's not an answer, Rae, you're making me nervous." He chuckled, indeed nervously.

Raven wiped her face again and breathed slowly.
"You know I don't care about marriage" she finally said.

"Then it won't hurt you to say yes."

"Why?"

Beast Boy changed his weight and sighed pushing his free hand through his hair, making it look like a nest.
"Because when you get married you say some vows, Rae. When you'll be my wife you'll have to stay with me forever. I don't want you to ever leave, I want you to always be by my side. I want to be a dad for your kids. Including the one growing inside you."

"You don't know what you're talking about..."

"Yes, I do. Marriage is for good and the bad, not only for good, Rae. And we're in a bad right now. We're in a deep, bad shit. So what do you say? You'll marry me?"

They stared at each other for a short, but seemingly long moment, before Raven spoke up.
"You just swore in front of the kids."

"Oh, common!" he looked at the ceiling as if calling heavens for help. Then Melvin stepped in.

"Answer, mom, will you?" she asked sweetly. Her hopeful look melted Raven's heart. She looked at the green man in front of her.

"Okay" she said, making Beast Boy's ears perk up, his eyes glimmer and a half smile growing on his face.

"Is that...?"

"Yes. I will marry you."
Beast Boy again looked up, mouthing 'thank you' and giving into the bittersweet kiss.

After the ring was put on her finger and they all made their congratulations, they finally sat down on the couch.

"How was doctor Love?" Cyborg asked.

"Annoying." The adults chuckled shortly. "I mean, she was really sweet and nice and all, but the smile was just infuriating."

"That's hormones speaking" Arella spoke.

"Probably" Raven admitted. "Okay, she wasn't that bad. She was kind and even distinguished my 'I'm doomed' tears from the usual 'happy mommy' tears she probably gets."

"Oh, she's good" Beast Boy said.

Suddenly Melvin ran to him.
"Daddy, you have to change your superhero name."

Beast Boy blinked then furrowed his brow. "Why?"

"You can't still be a 'Boy' if you're getting married, silly!" she giggled sweetly.

"You're right, princess!" now he seemed more enthusiastic. "What do you suggest?"

Melvin shrugged. "I don't know, that's your job." And saying so she pranced away to her brothers and Bobby, leaving Beast Boy dumbstruck.

"She's growing into a little smart ass" he smirked at Raven.

"Mama's blood" she replied, making others chuckle.

"So, future Mrs Logan, do you have any suggestions for my adult superhero name?"

"Yeah, Changeling" she snorted.

"Changel-... Change... Crap, I can't even pronounce that!" he chuckled along with the others.

"What about Animal Man?" Starfire suggested.

"There is an Animal Man already" Cyborg countered.

"Shifter?" Arella tried.

"Villainess" Nightwing spoke laconically.

Beast Boy sighed and after a second said "Zoo Man!"

Raven frowned. "What are you five? Just drop the 'Boy' suffix."

"You mean Beast Man?"

"I said 'drop', not 'replace with Man', dummy."

"So just Beast? Simple as that?" Cyborg asked. Raven shrugged and sipped her herbal tea.

The talk went on and on, sliding from one topic to another. Until Starfire asked the magical question.
"Are you happy to be getting married?"

"I'm certainly happy about the way he proposed."

Beast Boy looked at her smugly. "Really? Why?"

"First of all, it wasn't in a public place, and you gathered all our family in one place, so I don't have to tell them the news. I'm content."

Beast Boy smirked knowingly. "Didn't you forget about someone?"

Raven seemed to be paralyzed instantly, earning a few chuckles from all the participants of the talk. "Who?"

"I'll give you a hint. She likes pink and unicorns."

"Jinx." Raven's jaw dropped. "Oh, shoot. I have to call her, she'll kill me. Where's my phone?" she began feeling her pockets frantically.

"Hello?" Jinx's voice spoke through the speaker (turned loud for everyone to hear).

"Hi Jinxie" Raven said. And then the ususal verbal diarrhea happened.

"Holy crap, you're alive! I seriously thought you died and I was going to call Wing and ask if he maybe forgot to send me a memo, but then I started stalking you on DA, and I saw you submitted a new poem last week, so then I thought maybe I said something weird again and you're offended or something...!"

"It's not you, it's me" Raven assured her.

"Jeez, that's like the lamest break up line... Wait, are you dumping me?"

"Yeah, we're over" Raven played along.

"Oh my gawd, you can't do this to me!" Jinx spoke in an exaggerated idiot chick voice. An explosion could be heard in the background.

"Jinx, are you in the middle of a battle?" Raven asked.

"Nothing serious, no worries. Wally's got this. You got this, babe?!" she yelled. "He got this. Hey babe, guess who's calling? My biatch! Wally says hi."

"Are you sure you can talk?"

"Yeah, we're just waiting for the police now. What's up?"

"I'm calling to tell you big news."

"Oh my gawd, hit me!" that idiot chick voice again.

"The Emerald Man just proposed to me." Beast Boy looked at her surprised and mouthed his unofficial title, but she shrugged him off.

"... You're kidding me!"

"No."

"No shit!"

"It's true."

"And I didn't see this?! I'm gonna kill him!"

"You gotta catch me first!" Beast Boy chuckled.

"You bastard, I'm gonna broke both your ankles for this!"

"Not if you want another unicorn ride" he said in a sing-song tone.

"...Whatever! Did you say yes? Tell me you said yes!"

"I said yes." Raven confirmed. Jinx squealed.

"You're kidding me!"

"I'm not!"

"God, I'm fangirling as hell right now! In the middle of the street! I must be at the wedding! It's gonna be big, right?"

"Actually we didn't discuss anything yet..."

"No way, biatch, you gotta have a big wedding!" Jinx sounded almost disappointed.

"I'd rather have it small, you know, just the closest friends..."

"Including me, right?"

"I'll think about it" Raven said teasingly.

"Don't be a bitch, come on! Hey Wally, guess what! They got engaged!"

"Who?"

"Our OTP!"

"No way! Congrats!" Kid Flash shouted to Jinx's phone.

"Thanks!" Raven and Beast Boy said in unison.

"When do you plan the wedding?" Jinx asked, the sound of sirens coming from her side.

"We don't know, but probably ASAP."

"Really? Why?"

"Uh.. You know what? It's not really a topic to talk about through phone..."

"Oh, and telling me you got engaged is? Tell me!"

"No, it's literally a matter of life or death."

"That sounded like you're dying, haha! ... Oh my god, you're dying! You're dying? You're not dying, are you? Are you dying?"

Raven rolled her eyes while the others laughed their asses off. "I'm not dying Jinx."

"Are you sure? Because if I go there and you tell me you're dying..."

"I'm not!"

"... Is Beast Boy dying?"

Okay, she's had enough. "Bye, Jinx!"

"No, wait, one more question!"

"What?"

"What does the ring look like?" Raven glanced at her ringed finger and smiled at the shining diamond. "You'll see it when you come here."

Jinx squealed joyfully, not able to get a grip on her raging feels.
After they finished their talk and everybody laughed out, Beast Boy finally realized...
"I'll have to tell Rita and Steve...!"
Raven was mortified.

When Jinx waltzed in with Kid Flash, it was the first time Raven didn't hear her curse him out because of her ruined hair. And boy, did it look like a pink nest.
"Oh my god, showmetheringshowmetheringshowmethering!" she pranced like an overly excited bunny, making everyone but Raven laugh. "Aww, it's beautiful!"

"And of special value" Beast Boy chimed in. "My dad proposed with this ring to my mom, and after they got married, she kept it for her future daughter in law. It was found within their camp after..."

"Shut up!" Jinx squeaked with tears in her eyes.

"You shut up..." Raven was also tearing up, but refused to admit it. The others chuckled (Starfire also a little teary).

Then they went to Starfire's room and the three of them had a girls day. Then Raven told Jinx everything. The witch's  jaw dropped to the floor.

"You're kidding me." Raven shook her head. "You're pregnant? You're fucking pregant with your asshole father?" Raven nodded again. "And this kid in there" she indicated Raven's stomach. "is supposed to destroy the Earth, just like you were supposed to do?" Raven confirmed once more. "And Trigon's influence on this child will be stronger than on you?"

"That would be correct" Starfire spoke.

Jinx was looking at Raven incredulously for a few seconds. "What a dick." She finally said. "Jeez, Raven, I'm sorry if I send you annoying feelings, but I really feel sorry for you and this sucks balls! God!"

"Tell me about it."

"How long are you...?"

"That would be about six weeks now" Starfire answered the unfinished question.

"Wow. So much time left." Jinx looked at Raven compassionately.

"Let's just change the subject" Raven suggested.

"To what?"

Raven looked suggestively at Starfire and then at Jinx, then again pointing her head towards Starfire. Jinx seemed to cath the drift.
"What?" She glanced between the two. "Oh my god, are you pregnant too?" she asked Starfire, making the alien giggle adorably.

"No. But we are trying for the baby..."

"Really? How long? And why doesn't anyone call me anymore?" she finished off with a pretension.

"It's not you, friend. We just wanted to keep it a secret until we succed and are sure the baby won't be lost."

"Ugh! Pft! Don't jinx her! She's pregnant, silly!" Jinx spluttered.

Starfire covered her mouth with her fingers. "My apologies..."

"I wouldn't really mind." Raven shrugged, earning two pairs of huge eyes staring at her. "Hey, would miscarriage make me unable to have any more children? How do you think?"

Jinx shrugged and Starfire shook her head slowly. Raven cursed.

"Besides" Jinx spoke up. "I don't think you want to miscarry and have to go through the rapy-daddy again."

Raven sighed heavily. "Well, that's true..."

The next two or so weeks were relatively calm. Raven mostly slept, ate and exercised, she didn't want to turn into a whale. A seal was fine enough. Her diet was strictly under Starfire's care. And Raven was grateful, at least the constipations she's been having for a while were bearable. Her stomach turned into the tiniest bump now, being it about eight or nine weeks through. The first trimester ending soon, and making her forget about the miscarriage.
Until one day she was asleep and suddenly heard his voice in her dream. The pain in her uterus became unbearable and she woke up with a start and with a wet feeling between her legs.

The common room was full. Nightwing and Cyborg were once again competing over the title of the Best Uncle Ever and Starfire and Arella were sitting by the table and laughing at them while Beast Boy tried to cook himself something to eat. Then the doors opened and in walked Raven holding a hand over her abdomen. She seemed terrified.
Some of them waved or smiled, some greeted her, while she shuffled nearer to Beast. That's when he noticed something was wrong.
"Rae, you okay?"

She shook her head. "I don't feel well..."

"What's wrong?" he asked, catching her trembling hands. The others walked closer to make sure she was fine. "Why are you shaking?"

"My stomach hurts like period and I'm bleeding..."

"Don't worry, child, spotting is normal-..."

"Mother." Raven's harsh tone left everyone dumbstruck. "If I meant spotting, I would have said spotting. I said bleeding, that means it's a bleeding. My stomach feels like it's being ripped apart and I just dreamt Trigon talking about how daughters are better for portals. Can someone please call dr Love now and tell her I'm miscarrying? I'd appreciate it."

"I'm on it" Cyborg announced, running to the phone.

The last thing she remembered was hearing Arella saying she should lay down, Starfire weeping and sniffing something about it being her fault, kids running around her and asking her things and Beast Boy walking her to the couch. She blacked out before she reached it.
