Approving Boards

Our Live Webinars, Text Based Online Courses, and Video Based Online Courses are approved by these boards:

•   Heisel and Associates, provider #1253, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Heisel and Associates maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 5/3/2020 to 5/3/2023.
•  The National Board of Certified Counselors (Provider #6603).  Heisel and Associates has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider for live workshops and online courses, ACEP No:  6603.  Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified.  Heisel and Associates is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
• The National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (provider #111326)
• The American Psychological Association.
• The State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board (Social Work provider #RSXX-058716, Counselor provider #RCXX-048709, MFT provider #RTX-110501).  In 2018 the MFT portion of the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board changed the criteria for awarding CE hours for clinical supervision.  We are no longer approved to provide supervision CE hours for MFT's.

• Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling (#50-17635)

• The Kentucky Board of Social Work (provider #KBSWSP-202153). Not all online courses are approved by the KY SW Board. We have one video online course on ethics (Ethics for Kentucky Social Workers) which is approved by the KY SW Board (Provider #KBSW-202177 - Ethics).  Any other text or video based online courses having to do with ethics or clinical supervision are not approved.
• The Kentucky Board of Examiners in Psychology (Approval #202204F).
• The Kentucky Board of Licensure for Marriage and Family Therapists. Not all online courses are approved by the KY MFT Board. We have one text online course on ethics (Ethical Issues When Working With Couples in Marriage and Family Therapy - 2nd Edition) which is approved by the KY MFT Board.  Any other text or video based online courses having to do with ethics or clinical supervision are not approved.
• The Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board (provider #98000459A)(Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists, Licensed Addiction Counselors, and Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselors)
• The Indiana State Board of Psychology (provider #98000465A)
• Beginning in late December 2017 we no longer seek approval from the Kentucky Boards of Licensed Professional Counselors and Alcohol & Drug Counselors.  Now that we have 70+ text based online courses and 60+ video online courses the cost and application process no longer make applying feasible.  The boards do not have an "approved sponsor" status and we must apply each year for each text based or video online course.  However, it is likely that our text based or video online courses are still approved by both of these Kentucky Boards.  The Kentucky Board of Licensed Professional Counselors accepts any provider approved by NBCC.  The Kentucky Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors accepts providers approved by NAADAC.  We continue to seek specific approval for text based and video online courses which require it, such as text based and video online courses on Domestic Violence, Suicide Prevention, and Kentucky Laws.  Please contact our office at (513) 271-3923, or , for information regarding approvals by these boards.  You can, on your own, easily determine which text based and video online courses are approved by clicking on "All Online Courses", then selecting your state and your profession at the top of the list.  When you do that the list of text based and video online courses will populate with the number of CE hours each online coure is approved for.  If an online course is not approved, that will be indicated.

Our Live Workshops are approved by these boards:
